Saturday was the perfect beach day… not hot, not cold, not a bit foggy. With such gorgeous weather, we couldn’t resist heading to Stinson Beach to attend the 9th Annual Create-With-Nature Earth Day Celebration. There were so many fun art activities to participate in, I can’t possible contain them all within one post! So, for now, here are a few photos of my son simply playing on the beach. Tomorrow, on Earth Day itself, I’ll begin to post images of the Create-With-Nature festivities. Stay tuned!

Great images. Nearest beach to me is Mersea Island, a place where if you visit at the wrong time the tides will cut you off from the mainland.

We’ve been there… April of 1999… I remember it cloudy, foggy, windy, cold and misty… And we have a photo about the shark attacks from the sign out there…. My daughter was just 8 months old and she refused to put her hand in the water…

Foggy, windy, cold… that’s how the coast usually is around here in the summer. It can be lovely in the spring or fall, though! Yep, you hear about shark attacks once in a while. I wouldn’t let my child get into the water here, not for fear of sharks, but because of the rip currents. They are dangerous here! Love this place for playing on the beach, though. Such soft sand!
