Neighborhood: Lizard

We enjoyed a walk around our neighborhood yesterday, to look for some “signs of fall” and to collect leaves.  It was another hot day here in the San Francisco East Bay… in the 80’s!  This does not feel like November, but we can’t complain.  The lizards are loving it, too!

Your photo of the lizard was a nice catch! I think it may be a Western Fence Lizard. Its eastern cousin lives around here.

Thanks! It’s definitely a western fence lizard. We have them all over around here… even in our tiny back yard.

I envy your warm conditions, the cold is getting its teeth into us here in UK now.

Having lived in Germany for a couple years, I understand. I’m absolutely appreciating our record-breaking warm weather while it’s here. Especially since rain and cold(er) weather are in the forecast for Friday!
